Rio de Onor

Rio de Onor, located just over 14 km from the village of Varge, is one of the most emblematic villages in Bragança and the Montesinho Natural Park. In 2017, it was voted one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal in the category of village in a protected area. Crossed by the border with Spain, the village is unique, with one part in Rio de Onor and the other in Rihonor de Castilla. Typical schist houses with porched balconies frame the landscape. Rio de Onor is a special place that reflects the culture and beauty of the Montesinho Natural Park.
